A Multifunctional Extraction and Concentrator Processing Machine leverages specialized extraction equipment to isolate botanical active ingredients (APIs) from raw herbal plant materials. Depending on the extraction agent selected, this system can be customized to support various processing paths:
Water and herbal raw materials are loaded into the extraction tank. Thermal energy is then applied to the jacket layer. Once the mixture reaches a boil, the heat source is adjusted to sustain a controlled simmer. The boiling duration is determined by the specific pharmacological process requirements. For closed extraction routines, cooling water condenses the vapor, returning it to the tank to maintain system temperature and circulation.
The herbal materials and solvent are sealed inside the extraction tank, with steam applied to the jacket. Once the mixture reaches target temperature, cooling water is activated to control the thermal input. This allows rising solvent vapors to pass through the condenser and return as liquid. To maximize extraction efficiency, a recirculation pump can force the liquid from the lower section back into the top of the cylinder, preventing local channeling.
Materials are loaded into the tank alongside solvents such as water, ethanol, methanol, or acetone. The heating system boils the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes, after which one-third of the extract is filtered and transferred to the concentration tank. The extraction tank is closed off while the concentration tank maintains a temperature of approximately 80°C and a vacuum of -0.05 to -0.08 MPa. Vapor from the concentration process condenses and flows back into the extraction tank as fresh solvent. This continuous cycle ensures thorough extraction until the solution runs colorless, delivering high-viscosity ointment yields.
