Jujube seed, also known as sour jujube seed or Ziziphus spinosa seed, is the dried mature seed of the wild jujube plant. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years as a sedative, anxiolytic, and sleep promoting herb. The seed is valued for its ability to calm the spirit, relieve anxiety, and improve sleep quality. The primary bioactive components responsible for these effects are jujubosides, especially jujuboside A.
Our premium Jujube Seed Extract Powder is produced from carefully selected, mature jujube seeds harvested in autumn. Using advanced water or ethanol extraction followed by low temperature concentration and spray drying, the powder preserves the full spectrum of bioactive saponins including jujuboside A, jujuboside B, jujuboside C, and other flavonoid compounds.
Whole jujube seeds are hard and contain low concentrations of active saponins. Simple ground seed powder has poor solubility and inconsistent jujuboside content. Our jujube seed extract powder solves these challenges by providing standardized jujuboside A content (typically 2%, 3%, 4%, or 5% by HPLC), good water solubility, consistent batch to batch quality, enhanced bioavailability, extended shelf life, and year round availability.
