Holy Berry (scientific name: Chasteberry tree, agnos castus), belongs to the plant kingdom and is the fruit of the European maleberry tree. It is mainly distributed in Europe. It contains components similar to human progesterone (Vitex), and has traditionally been used to alleviate premenstrual syndrome symptoms, irregular menstruation, and promote breast health. It can regulate luteinizing hormone release and balance estrogen to improve breast fibrocystic diseases. Holy Berry can stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone by the pituitary gland and inhibit excessive prolactin secretion, thereby regulating endocrine functions in both directions.

In 2001, the British Medical Journal stated that it can alleviate symptoms such as breast pain before menstruation. Holy Berry is more effective than fluoxetine hydrochloride in treating breast pain related to premenstrual syndrome. After taking 20 milligrams of concentrated extract daily for three menstrual cycles, women experienced significant reduction in acne, headaches, and other discomforts before menstruation.
